When can I buy TGV tickets?
One way to save money on your TGV train ticket is by booking your tickets as soon as you possibly can. Tickets are at their cheapest for TGV trains three months before your departure date and gradually increase in price after that.
Do French trains have food?

Can I get an earlier train with an Advance ticket? Advance train tickets aren’t flexible, so you must catch the train specified on your ticket. If you catch an earlier train, you may have to pay additional fees, so please check with ticket staff at the station.
Can I take a knife on Eurostar?
All flick knives, gravity knives and daggers. Folding/lock pocket knives are also banned. Small folding pocket knives with blades under 75mm without a locking mechanism are the exception and are permitted. Any other weapon made, adapted or intended for use as an offensive weapon.
Can you bring razors on a train?

Can you drink alcohol on a train in France?
Under the new rules passengers cannot carry more than one bottle of wine or four cans of beer and spirits are banned. This is despite alcohol being served at Eurostar stations and on board trains, and the firm’s website encouraging passengers to “bring back … a bottle or two from a chateau-hopping trip”.
Can TGV pay cash?
Cash is accepted at the kiosk however we encourage you to use cashless payment method.
