Do you need your own horse to go to Hartpury?
You don’t need to own your own horse to be able to ride at Hartpury. You may also be able to take advantage of riding opportunities and social events available through our Equestrian Club.
How many arenas does Hartpury have?
Indoor arenas The main international standard Hartpury Arena features a 70m x 40m riding surface which has seating for 600 spectators, hospitality boxes that double up as classrooms and a restaurant and bar. A further three indoor arenas (60m x 25m, 60m x 21m, and 25m x 35m) can also be found on campus.

How old is Hartpury?
First Hartpury College students enrolled The Institute opened in 1949, and the opening ceremony was attended by the Minister of Agriculture, Mr Tom Williams, who performed the official opening.
