How long is an Apprenticeship? Typically our apprenticeships are between two years and five years, depending on the level of qualification you are working towards. You’ll find the exact length of your chosen Apprenticeship in the role description on our search pages.
What grades do you need to get into BAE Systems?
To apply you’ll need to have five GCSEs or National 5 + Highers (or equivalent) including Maths, English and a Science for engineering roles. Science is not needed for business Higher Apprenticeships. You will also need UCAS points – the number required varies depending on the Apprenticeship.

BAE Systems is set to hire almost 1,700 apprentices and graduates across the UK in 2022. The creation of more than 900 apprentice and 750 graduate and undergraduate roles is the largest intake of early careers roles the company has offered in a single year.
What is a Level 5 apprenticeship equivalent to?
Level 5 apprenticeships are also classified as higher apprenticeships, but are the equivalent of the full degree. The requirements for a level 5 apprenticeship will be similar to that of a level 4. However, as this is a more advanced course it is not unusual to see more specific requirements from employers.
Is A level 5 apprenticeship hard?

Apprenticeship pay varies considerably across London boroughs: Level 2 pay ranges from £4.30 to £12.29. Level 3 pay ranges from £5.95 to £12.29. For higher level apprenticeships, the hourly rate ranges from £8.72 to £15.24.

What happens during the Engineering Higher Apprenticeship?
During the Engineering Higher Apprenticeship you will, through a range of placements develop knowledge, skills and behaviours in a range of different engineering disciplines whilst gaining valuable experience in mechanical and electrical engineering environments which will culminate in you completing an End Point Assessment.
What is the Finance Higher Apprenticeship Scheme?
Our Finance Higher Apprenticeship scheme aims to develop A-level or equivalent qualified individuals into Chartered Management Accountants with a broad understanding of all aspects of finance and how these fit into the wider business organisation.
