Gateron just launched their newest designed switches recently called the Cap Switch. The new design upgraded the traditional design. Instead of the traditional MX stem which is inserted into the bottom housing, the new stem is like a cap wrapped around the bottom housing, which is where the name “Cap Switch” came from.

These are Gateron Cap Brown V1 switches. These are a medium tactile switch that come in a brown housing, with a 55g (actuation) gold plated spring. They also feature Gateron’s new cap stem which is supposed to reduce stem wobble within the switch housing.
Are Gateron milky yellow pro pre lubed?
These Gateron PRO Switches comes pre-lubed from the factory, which we normally don’t care for – however, we found their lubing decently consistent for a factory job.

Are Keychron stabilizers good?
The stabilizers on the Keychron K2 V2 come factory-lubed, but I still found them to be a little wobbly. The stabilizers aren’t the best but they get the job done. Since I have Gateron brown switches, the sound is a little louder than if I had opted for a linear switch.
Do Brown switches sound good?
Brown switches are tactile. They have a slight bump on each keystroke which makes them excellent for typing and programming but they are not the best for gaming. Brown switches produce a moderate amount of noise.
