Do tapped artifacts still work?
No, tapping an artifact doesn’t do anything (anymore). Tapping an enchantment does nothing.
Can you tap an artifact the turn you play it?
Creatures are still creatures, even if they are artifact additionally. By your thought process, artifact creatures should be able to attack the turn they come into play because they lack summoning sickness and therefore are able to tap (an action that usually can’t be done because of summoning sickness.)
What artifacts turn off when tapped?
Now there are only a few artifacts whose effects ‘turn off’ when they are tapped, but they explicitly say so in their rules text. Some examples of artifacts like this are Howling Mine, Winter Orb, and Trinisphere.

An artifact is a permanent. See rule 301, “Artifacts.” 301.1. A player who has priority may cast an artifact card from their hand during a main phase of their turn when the stack is empty.

The merciless Scorpion God hunted down Amonkhet’s revered gods, and four of them—Oketra, Kefnet, Bontu, and Rhonas perished. Hazoret managed to escape destruction, but the world’s pantheon was shattered, completing Bolas’s ruination of the plane. But they didn’t just die.
What happened to Amonkhet?
Amonkhet contains weak, dying laylines, and has no world soul, said by the planeswalker Nissa to have been killed by Nicol Bolas. The last remaining city was known as Naktamun, and was protected by the last five gods on the plane, but it fell during The Hour of Devastation.

Can you tap artifacts as instants?
Unless specified, Artifacts can activate at instant speed. That’s why Tumble Magnet works. Tumble Magnets, how do they work? Instant speed, for the most part.
Does a treasure token count as a permanent?
If a token is phased out, or is in a zone other than the battlefield, it ceases to exist. Therefore, Tokens are permanents.
What did Nicol Bolas do to Amonkhet?
During the War of the Spark Nicol Bolas sent Tezzeret on Amonkhet to activate the Planar Bridge.
Who killed Bontu?
With a cry, Bontu finally released Hazoret’s mangled limb, the two gods stumbling apart. Hazoret grabbed her spear, one arm dangling uselessly at her side. Bontu breathed heavily, her mouth and face charred from Hazoret’s attack.
Can you play artifacts on opponent’s turn?
Yes, you may.
Can you tap lands without priority?
Tapping a land is an activated ability, and follows the rules for activating any other activated ability. Tapping a land for mana while you have priority will force another around of priority. P.S. This does mean that a new round of priority is started.
